Spinach fatayer is a great finger food that is made from fresh spinach,  pomegranate molasses,  lemon juice, sumac and wrapped in home made pastry, the mixture of these different flavours give this dish a fantastic appetising start to any meal.

Sumac is made from a fruit of a shrub found in the middle east called Rhus coriaria, it has a pleasent tangy taste with a hint of citruis fruitiness and prior to the introduction of lemons it was used as a souring agent..
